While managing influencer relations for buybuyBABY Canada, I led the full process from sourcing and vetting creators to drafting contracts, developing detailed campaign briefs, and reporting on performance. I introduced the use of Instagram’s Collab tool to maximize reach, resulting in higher-performing content, including a carousel post with
@mrsbarbarankansah that earned 971 total engagements which was quite a feat for its time.
I also developed strong relationships with our roster of creators, many of whom I was able to call on for future campaigns. Managing influencers in the parenting space came with its unique challenges. At times, campaigns needed to be delayed or restructured due to sensitive situations such as pregnancy complications or miscarriage. This required a high level of empathy, adaptability, and quick strategic thinking. I maintained a reserve of vetted creators, ensuring we could pivot quickly without sacrificing quality or authenticity.
